Penelope and the Suitors

While i was reading about Penelope and the suitors i couldn't help but wonder how she got by without getting freaky with a couple of guys i mean i know she was the smart noble wife but even the smartest and noblest of people get horny I mean i put myself in her shoes and imagined that I would have probably done a couple of things that i would have had to sacrifice a few lambs to gods for later on i just don't think its humanly possible for a woman to go without "womanly needs" for more than 5 years she had to be a strong woman or maybe i'm just weak and then maybe times were different back then.....penelope did say she was a liar though and since she is narrating she could have left a few escapades out to make herself look good i mean here's the scenario a couple hundred younger guys want your hand in marriage most of them probably aren't the best lookin but over time they start to look appealing years go by and everyone is tellin you that your husband is dead , most oif the women around you are bending to the pressures of the guys some even falling in love i mean what woman could resist that temptation she had to have a "dry well " or a stone cold heart or somethin

Aren't You Just A Litle Disappointed....

When we first heard about the book, The Penelopiad, I thought that the 12 maids and Penelope were gonna alternate chapters writing in like diary form but instead Penelope has taken over the whole book so far with her little stories about her childhood and how Helen is so much better then her at everything well i say BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Get to the juicy gossiping maids I want to hear some stuff about Penelope from someone other than her I mean I now she had to have some flaws and been somewhat of bitch , she's a princess for heavens sake. Aren't yall just a little disappointed in the way the book has started or did yall expect the whole book to be PENELOPE PENELOPE FREAKIN PENELOPE ???
